alrighty then. i'm posting a summery of everything i learned about dealing with other people from different cultures, ideals, religions, and everything else you can think of right here. welcome to Human Relations
so, human Relations I Summery.
Relational Vision:
No one can work by themselves, we must work together to accomplish our goals, we must respect and enchance eachother's imput to the team if we expect it to work smoothly
Positive Skills for Building Relations
at any time you will meet and have to interact with people that are each unique and different from many other in many aspects. building relations with these people is done normally by Conversation and Activities performed together.
the following tips speed up the process of getting to know your teamates. this will help you create a smooth running team in the fastest time Possible.
Use Open-Ended Questions:
Use Questions that require a lengthy answer to properly answer, inviting conversation. an example is "What was it like for you Growing Up?" at work you can ask"How can we get this task done?"
Give Extra Information:
When asked a question, answer it completely, and then give something extra as well, this gives the other person something new to talk about, and promotes a longer conversation. try this even if someone gives you a closed off question such as "Are you Feeling Alright?"
Use questions to find out what makes someone unique:
To get to know someone, you need to find out what makes them tick, what is their story? what makes them different from everyone else, why are they here if they are bizzarily different? questions that answer these things lead to story and plot that you would never know before hand.
Ask questions like "When we leave for the city, whats the first thing your going to eat" instead of questions like "Do you like steak?" you can follow up with "Why does that food appeal to you?" in work this can translate to "How can we make this process better" or "Why do you think this would work?"
Allow for Equal Speaking Time:
two of the quickest ways to shut down a conversation is to talk to much or not at all, this makes a conversation one sided, and also makes the person your talking with not want to speak with you again most likely. try to strike a balance, if a person isn't speaking too much, ask them an open ended question. if someone is speaking too much, try to jump in and offer your own perspective on the subject.
Be Interested in Other people's conversations:
Remember, you are trying to get to know other people, even if they think differently from you try saying "Tell me more about that". then listen to what they have to say, this shows you have an interest in their opinions or hobbies, and that you value their input. Besides, you might just learn something.
Get Everyone in your work group to get involved:
For your team to perform effectively, everyone needs to give a solid effort. this means everyone asks questions, gives detailed answers, and try to explain their views on the matter at hand.
